Abzal Zhaparov

General Director

Abzal leads Jupiter Energy’s operations team, overseeing both the Aktau office and field activities. His responsibilities include managing operations, marketing, geology, and geophysics, while working closely with the Kazakh Heads of Finance and Legal/HR, as well as Managing Director Geoff Gander. 

With more than 25 years of experience in the oil sector, Abzal has spent the majority of his career in the Mangistau region. His background includes senior roles with major multinationals such as Texaco and OMV, as well as with smaller Kazakh oil producers. 

Assel Kostauletova

Director of Finance

Assel is a Certified Accounting Practitioner with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Management, a Diploma in International Financial Reporting, and an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting. She bings 20 years of experience in financial management within the oil and gas industry.  

As Jupiter’s Director of Finance, Assel currently oversees the Aktau finance department and a team of 4 employees. She also works closely with Jupiter’s Australian-based corporate team in relation to regulatory reporting and audits. Her role encompasses not only managing the finance department but also contributing to the company’s strategic growth and corporate strategy. 

Gulder Urbissinova

Director of Legal & Compliance

Gulder’s qualifications include an undergraduate degree in International Law from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a postgraduate degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Aberdeen, and an Executive MBA in Project Management from the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU). 

With nearly 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including extensive management expertise, Gulder oversees all legal and compliance matters, HR issues, and procurement activities. She has been actively involved in various corporate structuring, establishment of new legal entities, capital raising initiatives, and AIX listing processes. Her role encompasses not only managing legal and compliance risks but also contributing to the company’s strategic growth. 

Duman Tulebayev

G&G Consultant

Duman brings over 18 years of experience in petroleum geoscience. He began his career with Jupiter Energy and has since worked with large multinationals and local oil producers such as Maersk Oil & Gas and Emir Oil to strengthen their operations. 

 As an independent Petroleum Geoscience Expert to Jupiter Energy, he provides valuable technical and strategic advice on the drilling of new wells and wells undergoing maintenance and workovers, with the aim of achieving optimal production.
